But through the years, the success story of some young men and women that grew up from this locale cannot be undermined, to an extent that it can be easily be refereed to as the Mecca of entertainment and football in Africa

Breaking the Jinx: Young Ighalo’s Journey to stardom was not all filled with a cheery pie. When he finally got the opportunity for the first time outside the shores of Africa, to take part in trials, the trip took him to Hertha Berlin FC of Germany, Espanyol FC of Spain, and to Portugal before returning to Nigeria for a while.
