BRAVERY: How 53-year-old Nigerian Killed A Lion With Bare Hands

A 53-year-old man, identified as Mr Iorver Udele, from the Ajio clan in the Shangev-Ya district of Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State, on Friday, reportedly killed a Lion that attacked him with bare hands at Ngokugh mountains.

Ngokugh mountains is the area, where a Nigeria Military Jet crashed in September 17, 2006, killing 13 out of 18 Army Generals on board and three others rescued via the efforts of the then 14-year-old Detimbir Chia, who discovered the crash site with his dog and has long joined Nigeria Army.

It was gathered that Mr Iorver, who has also created history like the Biblical Samson who also killed a Lion using his bare hands, was working on his cassava farm located at Ngokugh mountains where he was reportedly attacked by the roaring Lion.

Mr Iorver, in a self-defense bid launched a counterattack, in what can best be described as a fierce battle that lasted for about ten minutes before he defeated the wild beast.

Speaking with reporter after the epic event, he said, “I was working on my cassava farm at Ngokugh mountain and suddenly, I heard a sound like that of a Lion roaring and advancing towards me.”

“I was nervous. I summoned courage and confronted the Lion as it was coming towards me possibly to feast on me. It took about ten minutes during the struggle before I killed it,” said Iorver.

Mr Iorver, who sustained varying degrees of injuries, was immediately rushed to the General Hospital at Adikpo where he is said to be receiving treatment.

The dead lion killed by Mr Iorver Udele.Family sources of Mr Iorver told journalists that he was indeed in stable condition as at the time of filing this report.

Also, a critical stakeholder in the area, Mr Lawrence Akerigba told our correspondent that Iorver sustained serious injuries during the encounter with the Lion and has been hospitalized, adding that the beast attacked the victim while working on his cassava.

Mr Akerigba said the victim is 53 years old.

When contacted, the State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Anene Catherine Sewuese, who immediately called the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the local government said they were yet to receive the report.

Tear Gas Fired On Opposition As Kenyans Stage Protests

Kenyan police fired tear gas on opposition leader, Raila Odinga’s convoy on Friday as people joined anti-government protests in several cities over a harsh cost-of-living crisis and a raft of controversial tax hikes.

Tear gas was fired on Odinga’s motorcade after he addressed a mass rally in the capital Nairobi, AFP correspondents said, and police took similar action to break up protests in the Indian Ocean port city of Mombasa and Kisumu, an opposition stronghold on Lake Victoria.

Police were out in force for the protests, the latest called by Odinga this year over the policies of the government of President William Ruto.

At the rally, Odinga — who lost the close-fought August 2022 election to Ruto — announced plans to collect 10 million signatures in a bid to remove his arch-rival from office.

“Kenyans elected leaders to parliament and they have betrayed them,” he said to cheers. “Ruto himself who took over power illegally has betrayed Kenyans.”

Odinga’s Azimio alliance had called for protests over the impact of the new taxes on Kenyans already suffering economic hardship and soaring prices for basic necessities.

Last week, Ruto signed into law a finance bill that is expected to generate more than $2.1 billion for the government’s depleted coffers and help repair the heavily indebted economy.

The Finance Act provides for new taxes or increases on a range of basic goods such as fuel and food and mobile money transfers, as well as a controversial levy on all taxpaying Kenyans to fund a housing scheme.

– Court challenge –

Critics accuse Ruto of rowing back on promises made during his election campaign when he declared himself the champion of impoverished Kenyans and pledged to improve their economic fortunes.

But the 56-year-old rags-to-riches businessman has defended the taxes, saying they will help create jobs and reduce public borrowing.

The high court in Nairobi last Friday suspended implementation of the legislation after a senator filed a case challenging its constitutional legality.

Despite the ruling, Kenya’s energy regulator later that day announced a hike in pump prices to take account of the doubling of VAT to 16 percent as stipulated in the law.

In Nairobi’s central business district, where main government buildings are located, police were patrolling on foot, in vehicles, and on horseback, while several roads in the capital were closed.

“I hope this demo will make a difference,” Alex Dwisa, a 24-year-old manual worker, said.

“The cost of living is too high, I don’t have 10k (10,000 Kenyan shillings/$70) to send my two kids to school.”

In Odinga’s bastion of Kisumu, a man in a vehicle mounted with a loudspeaker was mobilizing residents to turn out.

“We must listen to Baba (as 78-year-old Odinga is known), he said we have to demonstrate today, come out and join us to liberate our country,” he said.

The protests have been dubbed “Saba Saba” (Seven Seven) as they are taking place on the seventh day of the seventh month, symbolizing the day in 1990 when the opposition rose up to demand the return of multiparty democracy.

Israel Concludes Violent Operation In Jenin Refugee Camp, Leaving A Trail Of Destruction

Israel has brought an end to a two-day operation in the Jenin refugee camp, located in the northern West Bank, following intense clashes that resulted in the deaths of twelve Palestinians and one Israeli soldier.

The Israeli military described the operation as a “counter-terrorism operation,” while the Palestinian foreign ministry denounced it as an “open war against the people of Jenin.” The operation saw Israeli drones conducting air strikes while ground troops engaged in firefights with armed Palestinians.

In a swift response to rocket fire from Gaza, Israel carried out air strikes in the early hours of Wednesday.

The Israeli military confirmed that five rockets had been launched from Gaza, but all were successfully intercepted, resulting in no reported injuries.

This latest escalation comes amidst the ongoing tensions in the region and further adds to the already volatile situation.

Meanwhile, the city of Tel Aviv experienced a shocking attack earlier on Tuesday when a car ramming and stabbing incident left seven people injured.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear at this point. It serves as a stark reminder of the persistent threat of violence faced by Israeli civilians and the challenges in maintaining security in the region.

The recent events in Jenin, Gaza, and Tel Aviv highlight the deep-rooted tensions and fragile nature of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The loss of lives and the widespread destruction in Jenin further exacerbate the already strained relations between the two sides.

The international community continues to call for restraint and dialogue to de-escalate the situation and seek a peaceful resolution to the long-standing conflict.

Lake Chad region’s security receives $1 billion in World Bank approval.

One billion dollars have been allocated by the World Bank to help the people in the nations affected by the Lake Chad insurgency build their resilience and enhance their standard of living.

This was announced by Mr. Rasit Pertesv, the bank’s Chad Country Manager, on Thursday at the Fourth Lake Chad Governor’s Forum conference in N’Djamena, Chad.

According to The News Agency of Nigeria, the forum takes place in the midst of evolving patterns of conflict and new problems that have caused widespread emigration, harm to the social fabric, interruptions in public services, and weakened institutional capacities throughout the affected countries, including Chad, Cameroon, Niger, and Nigeria.

He said that the money distributed to the crisis-affected nations had boosted economic growth, produced jobs, and improved the lives of those who had taken the brunt of the crises.

According to the country manager, the International Development Association’s zero-interest financing supported two crucial regional development targets, including the restoration of livelihoods to lessen the vulnerability of those residing in Lake Chad.

In order to provide better opportunity and integration in the sectors of agriculture, energy, transport, and regional trades, he claimed that it would go a long way toward boosting cross-border economic activity.

In order to restore and improve security in Lake Chad, Pertev praised the regional stability program and urged more work toward a long-term rehabilitation in the afflicted areas.

Amb. Mamman Nuhu, executive secretary of the Lake Chad Basin Commission, who also spoke, emphasized that the region’s inhabitants were vulnerable to the ideology of the extremist group because of the region’s pervasive poverty, unemployment, and illiteracy.

According to Nuhu, the bulk of the region’s young, who were formerly dependent on farming and livestock husbandry, had their livelihoods disrupted, leaving them open to Boko Haram’s propaganda.

“Since the development of the Regional Strategy for Stabilisation, Recovery, and Resilience (RS-SRR) in 2018, the strategy has acted as a regional architecture for responding to the complex security, humanitarian and development issues plaguing the region.

“It emphasises the need for a comprehensive, multi-sectoral, and coordinated set of sub-national, national, and cross-border initiatives to achieve long-term stabilization, recovery, and resilience.

“As a result, several initiatives and programmes have sprung up to facilitate regional cooperation, respond to humanitarian needs, and foster peace and development in the region, one of which is the Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum.”

The Lake Chad Basin Governors Forum, according to Amb. Adeoye Bankole, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security, African Union Commission, is a crucial venue for advancing long-term regional peace and security.

“The African Union encourages further collaboration among member states and international partners to support the forum’s efforts towards consolidating peace in the region and creating better opportunities for the people of the Lake Chad Basin,” he added.

Njoya Tikum, Director, UNDP Sub-Regional Hub for West and Central Africa. “UNDP will continue to support the LCBC in creating a brighter future for the Lake Chad Basin—a future where security is restored, communities are rebuilt, and opportunities abound.

“The Regional Stabilisation Facility, born out of the Lake Chad Basin Governors’ Forum, has been instrumental in implementing the RS-SRR. Through collaborative efforts, we have been able to co-create practical and enduring solutions that have enabled nearly half a million internally displaced persons to return to their communities and significantly enhance their quality of life,” he said.

The Lake Chad Governors Forum, with the subject “New Opportunities for Peace in a Shifting Security Context,” seeks to better comprehend new security developments in the area and their implications for ongoing attempts to reestablish state authority, according to NAN.

It also aims to consider the RS-SRR’s future, which is currently in its final year of implementation, as well as strategies to strengthen collaborations and scale up efforts to alleviate the issue of those who have been forcibly displaced, including refugees and internally displaced people.

Following a PUNCH investigation, police in Lagos dismiss a cop connected to a missing child.

The Lagos State Police Command announced on Thursday that the errant officer had been fired, six months after a story by The PUNCH detailed the ordeal of Fortune Obhafuoso, a mother of three, at the hands of Inspector Samuel Ukpabio, who she accused of forcibly taking her newborn, Joseph, and settling with her for N185,000.

In a phone call with our correspondent, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police public relations officer, verified the development and added that when Ukpabio was fired from the force, he will face legal charges.

He said, “The recommendation for the dismissal of Inspector Samuel Ukpabio has been approved. This automatically paves the way for his prosecution.

“The Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, assures Lagosians of his unwavering determination to police the state within the dictates of rule of law, civility and respect for human life.”

On Friday, December 23, 2022, the day after Obhafuoso gave birth to her child, Ukpabio, a police officer with the State Criminal Investigation Department, detained her.

The policeman then drove her and her three children to the state’s Yaba police station, where she was suspected of trying to sell the baby, a charge she vigorously denied.

Obhafuoso claimed that Ukpabio kidnapped her infant by force and gave him to an unnamed woman from a state government ministry during questioning.

The officer then paid her N15,000, escorted her and her two remaining children out of the police line, and issued a warning before she tried to claim her baby again.

Following her repeated requests for the child from the irate mother, Ukpabio handed her another N170,000.

“The last time I saw my newborn was at the SCID, where a policeman, Samuel Ukpabio, connived with people who pretended to help me and stole my baby. All I want is my baby,” the 35-year-old told our correspondent in a special report published on Friday, January 6, 2023.

Contacted to get his reaction to Obhafuoso’s allegations a day before the special report was published, Ukpabio said the government had taken over the baby.

“They wanted to sell a baby for N3m and that is baby trafficking. The child is in the orphanage home with the government. The person that wants to buy the child is now in Kirikiri (Prison),” Ukpabio said.

Asked about the N170,000 sent to Obhafuoso, the policeman said, “When things happen like that, instead of them going and messing up themselves, they would do something for you so that you can establish yourself so you won’t be in that form again. So, the amount sent to her was to take care of herself.”

Asked why he released Obhafuoso as he claimed she wanted to sell her baby for N3m which is an offence, Ukpabio said, “She has two other children; they wanted to collect them from her because she can’t take care of them and she started crying and pleading and because of the way she pleaded, she was released instead of taking to the Kirikiri (Prison).”

When he hung up the phone, Ukpabio declined to say the name of the ministry, the orphanage facility, or where the money came from.

However, our correspondent informed the PPRO and the Officer-in-Charge of the SCID, Waheed Ayilara, about the errant cop’s antics on the same day Ukpabio was contacted for a response to the aggrieved mother’s allegations in an effort to find the whereabouts of the baby and to ensure that Ukpabio and his accomplices were arrested.

In his reaction to Punch correspondent’s revelation about Ukpabio’s illicit acts, Ayilara said, “You have given me a very detailed story. I need to look into this, I will get the person involved and do all necessary things that I ought to do professionally and will get you duly informed through the PPRO.”

The PPRO in a reaction later that same day, said, “The said officer (Ukpabio) has been taken into custody and investigation has commenced.”

The PPRO announced the arrest of two female suspects connected to the missing infant after Ukpabio was taken into custody.

“Both of them (female suspects) have not denied collecting the baby but we still don’t know where the baby is. We are still working and by the end of tomorrow, we should be able to tell where they took the baby to. So, we have a total of three people in detention now; the inspector, and the two ladies,” the PPRO said.

Till date, the whereabouts of the baby had remained unknown.

Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi, the founding director of the Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre, responded to the development by asking security agents to investigate the situation while also assisting in finding the baby’s whereabouts.

She said, “It’s a complicated case; we are concerned about the life and security of a day-old baby taken away from her (Obhafuoso) and also the complicity of the police in this matter. We call on the government and law enforcement agents to ensure that this case is properly adjudicated upon; where is the baby?”

A rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), also said it was not enough for the police to claim that Ukpabio had been arrested, adding that he should be charged and “must produce the child.”

Tinubu,Osibanjo and 30 million more people sign up for Zuckerberg’s Threads

Bola Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, and Yemi Osinbajo, a former vice president, have joined the 30 million users already on Meta’s (the owner of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp) new network, Threads.

This comes as Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced that the business is shortly aiming for one billion users. According to Zuckerberg, Threads has 30 million users after launching on Thursday in more than 100 countries.

According to him, two million people signed up for the app in the first two hours after it launched, and five million people did so in the first four.

Reports state that reaching 10 million members took Google+ 16 days, ChatGPT 40 days, Clubhouse 347 days, Instagram 355 days, Twitter 780 days, and Facebook 852 days.

Elon Musk’s Twitter, which has faced a lot of criticism ever since the billionaire acquired it, has been the target of complaints, which led to the development of Threads. The app recently made an announcement about a tweet view cap.

When a user asked if Threads would become bigger than Twitter, Zuckerberg replied, “It’ll take some time, but I think there should be a public conservations app with 1 billion+ people on it. Twitter has had the opportunity to do this but hasn’t nailed it. Hopefully we will.”

Europe has not yet seen the release of Threads due to worries about data privacy. It may be some time until Meta launches in Europe as a result of the harsh criticism leveled at it for its treatment of personal data.

“You’re neither omniscient nor omnipotent,” Soyinka slams Emir of Ilorin in his statement ‘ISESE’

Prof. Wole Soyinka, a playwright, has criticized Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the emir of Ilorin, for his part in blocking Yeye Ajesikemi Omolara, an Osun priestess, from having an Isese festival in the state. The event honors the spirituality and practices of Ifa.

Soyinka, who is the Akintalun of Egba and Giiwa of Ijebu-Remo, said that such behavior transformed a once-ecumenical city like Kaduna into a blood-stained parody of coexistence before our own eyes.

In Sokoto, a young college student named Deborah Samuel was lynched in front of armed police, he said, simply on the basis of a single accusation that she had denigrated the image of a beloved prophet.

The Nobel laureate in a statement on Thursday titled, ‘’Isese festival: An open letter to Sulu Gambari,’’ noted “The greatest avatars that the world has known were not without human frailties, flaws, and errors of understanding. You are not omniscient. And you are not omnipotent.’’

A few Muslim clerics from the Majlisu Shabab-l-Ulamah Society earlier paid the priestess a visit at her home and informed her that the Emir of Ilorin had sent them to warn her not to hold the three-day festival scheduled for July 22–July 24, 2023, in Ilorin. The priestess then canceled the event via an online video, admitting that she had received multiple death threats and that her life was in danger.

The Akogun of Isara in the statement said, “Your Royal Highness, So soon after the Moslem season of spiritual purification, it is sad to see the ancient city of Ilorin, a confluence of faiths and ethnic varieties, reduced to this level of bigotry and intolerance, manifested in the role of a presiding monarch.

“The truncation of a people’s traditional festival is a crime against the cultural heritage of all humanity. Year after year, the Ramadan has been celebrated in this nation as an inclusive gathering of humanity, irrespective of divergences of belief. Not once, in my entire span of existence, have I encountered pronouncements by followers of any faith that the slaughtering of rams on the streets and marketplaces is an offence to their concept of godhead. Vegetarians hold their peace. Buddhists walk a different path. Prior to Ramadan, non-Moslems routinely join in observing the preceding season of fasting as a spiritual exercise worthy of emulation.

“Perhaps this is another occasion for self-introduction. I currently teach courses in Abu Dhabi in the Emirates. That is the region of origin, all others are mere appendages. I was there just before Christmas. I passed through again in the countdown to Ramadan. On both occasions, the streets, businesses, hotel lobbies and other public spaces were lit up with the same festive spirit. Only the symbols within the designs were different. The mood of celebration was equally pervasive and inclusive. Painfully, my mind could not help but travel back home, and some years past, recalling for instance how a procession of Corpus Christ was once attacked, some killed, by a brood of Moslem fanatics, for daring to process along the streets of that same Ilorin. Needless to say, such abominations have become routine. Community is sacrificed to bigotry.’’

The senior statemen said that it might be of interest to the emir to know that several government-funded programs were being carried out in Abu Dhabi to foster the development of a civilized society based on religious tolerance and respect for others.

He stated, “By contrast here, several tiers removed from origin, must we turn the turban of enlightenment into a crown of bigotry? And in a society whose very constitution that supposedly governs us all guarantees freedom of belief, association and movement?

“Your Royal Highness, it is conduct like this that has bred Boko Haram, ISIS, ISWAP and other religious malformations that currently plague this nation, spreading grief and outrage across a once peaceful landscape, degrading my and your existence with their virulent brand of Islam. It is conduct like this that has turned, before our very eyes, a once ecumenical city like Kaduna into a blood-stained mockery of cohabitation. It is conduct like this that makes it possible for a young student, Deborah, to be lynched in the very presence of armed police, on mere allegation of having belittled the image of a revered prophet.

“It is action of this nature, perpetrated in obscure as well as prominent outlets of the nation that turns a young generation into mindless monsters, ever ready to swarm out and kill, kill, kill. Simply kill for the thrill of it, but under presumption of religious immunity. It is conduct like this that then nerves one extremist to wake up one day in a Scandinavian country, publicly announce his intention, and proceed to make a bonfire of copies of the Qur’an. Reprisals follow, equally mindless, trapping humanity in an ever-ascending spiral of costly but gleeful violence.’’

According to the essayist, this continent has endured centuries of disdain and despoilation at the hands of alien religions – Christianity and Islam at the forefront.

“Both religions have been sanctimoniously deployed as justification for unspeakable atrocities, for the dehumanisation of the black race. Do I need to teach you your own history, or is it that you prefer to forget? To encounter, in this century, a convert to alien spiritual dogma, appropriating the cloak of piety to impede the observation of our antecedent spirituality is not just racial treachery but an assault on civilised conduct as a universal aspiration of humanity, where every discovery, every new encounter usher in new propositions of enlightenment. Humanity builds on the past, preserving alternatives of world views, not destroying that past which, in any case, is indestructible,’’ Soyinka said.

He added, “Your conduct is an affront to my sense of racial being, and that holds true for millions beyond these national and continental borders, stretching into the Americas and the Caribbean. There you will still encounter Isese and allied spiritualities. There, Isese still exerts its hold on the human spirit. Visit Brazil, go to Columbia, explore Cuba, and be humbled by the tenacity of this spirituality among the descendants of black humanity.’’

Saying even the sturdiest of thrones crumble, the playwright predicted that long after he and the monarch were gone, generations would continue to endure the effects of present anomalies, pretensions, and hypocrisies and continue to harvest the bitter fruits of the seeds of discord being sown by their forebears.

He said, “I, therefore, urge you to rein in those agents of division, of triumphalist intolerance, such as the Majlisu Shabab Ulamahu Society. There is a thin line between power and piety. Call Yeye Ajasikemi OIokun Omolara to your side, make peace with her and make restitution in whichever way you can for this grievous insult to our race. We know the history of Ilorin and the trajectory of your dynasty – but these are not the issues. The issue is peaceful cohabitation, respect for other worldviews, their celebrations, their values and humanity. The issue is the acceptance of the multiple facets of human enlightenment.’’

Court grabts Abba Kyari bail after 18 months in prison

The suspended deputy commissioner of police, Abba Kyari, has been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

In a case where he and two of his siblings, Baba Kyari and Ali Kyari, are accused of failing to declare assets to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Kyari was granted bail on Thursday by Justice James Omotosho.

Kyari was granted conditional bail with two sureties totaling N50m by Justice James Omotosho in response to a request made by the defendant.

The sureties must own property worth N25 million inside the jurisdiction, according to Justice Omotosho.

Kyari and his sureties must also provide their foreign passports, statements of accounts, title deeds for the properties they are sureties for, as well as current passport photos, to the court registrar.

The judge also made the approval of his release warrant contingent on the results of another case that is still pending before Justice Emeka Nwite and in which he is being tried alongside four other people for drug-related offenses.

The judge approved his application since there was no proof that he posed a flight risk and that he wouldn’t show up for his trial.

The Justice emphasized that although the NDLEA did not dispute Kyari’s testimony that he was in Kuje jail during the previous prison break and had the option to escape, he chose not to do so.

“On the possibility of the 1st defendant attending his trial, it is pertinent to state that, according to the affidavits in support of the application, the applicant stated that he was in detention at the Kuje prisons when the jailbreak of 5th July 2022 occurred and he stayed put, even though he had the opportunity of escaping.

“This deposition was not challenged by the complainant/respondent which means it is admitted. This shows that the applicant is unwilling to run away from his trial and has shown a willingness to attend court when required.

“This piece of fact will work in favour of the applicant, in that, it is proof to the court that the applicant would not jump bail if granted the same. I note that there have been rulings denying the 1st defendant/applicant bail.

Furthermore, he ruled that Kyari and his co-defendants are eligible for bail for the offenses they were charged with.

“He has not committed a capital offence nor has it been proved that he is a flight risk. I, therefore, exercise my discretion in favour of the defendant/applicant.”

The court adjourned further hearing in the case to October 18.

Lagos businessman posting naked photos of ex-lovers sets up terms for surrender

Amarah Kennedy, a businessman from Lagos who went into hiding after two single mothers with whom he had connections were exposed in nude images, has promised to meet with authorities after PUNCH Newspapers stops covering the story.

Moreover, the 44-year-old said that while he was prepared to make amends with his victims, he still required assurances that the police wouldn’t get involved.

These were said by Kennedy, who is from the Anambra State community of Umunze, in WhatsApp conversations with one of our reporters on Wednesday.

Idowu Owohunwa, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, had earlier requested that the suspect appear and demonstrate his innocence at the command center.

Kennedy, a former bank employee turned businessman, was suspected of disseminating naked pictures of at least two single mothers he had previously dated. Our source had been keeping tabs on Kennedy’s activities.

The women, known only as Kester and Temi, first connected with him over social media at various points and fell in love with him when he made them marriage proposals and lavished their children with gifts.

After arguments, he shared their naked pictures with them and threatened to make the pictures go viral unless they paid him.

Temi gave him N15,000, while Kester, a widow, gave him N140,000. Nevertheless, he put the pictures on Facebook and WhatsApp.

This reporter was furious and vowed to further harm the women’s reputation when a special article on the subject was published on Sunday.

He then posted Kester’s nudes on his office’s social media profiles and the WhatsApp group for her church.

He also showed her late husband’s family the pictures.

In a chat seen by this reporter, he wrote, “Her (Kester) pictures are there. At Redeem parish WhatsApp group platform. I am all over the news, she also will be all over the news. By the time I am done, suicide will be her only option.”

Kester told Newsmen on Wednesday the suspect had started “sending my nudes all over Instagram and Twitter to random people, those that know me are calling me.”

But Kennedy, while speaking to this reporter on WhatsApp, said he had stopped spreading the photos.

PUNCH Metro advised him in response to his request for advice to ask the women for forgiveness, apologize on all social media sites where he had posted the naked images, and go to the police.

Reacting, he wrote, “You need to stop writing about me too. If you want me to do what you have suggested. I saw the story this morning (Wednesday) and I was wondering where all those information came from, unfortunately now whatever I say will be my word against theirs.

“I am not asking you to stop writing; I am saying the stories you write daily about me, can you stop. Let me find a way to resolve all these.

“I want to settle this issue out of the police. I am ready to do anything to make peace, but I want this issue resolved outside of the police.”
