Portable arrested, to spend the weekend in Police cell
Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, a controversial singer, was arrested and will face charges after the police’s 72-hour ultimatum to him expired.
Remember how the ‘Zazoo Zehh’ crooner was called to go to the police after assault claims were made, the singer will now be held by police through Monday.
The musician was detained on Friday, according to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who also said that he was taken to the State Police Headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The rapper was reportedly captured on camera in two videos roughhousing and verbally abusing some police officers at his pub in Sango Ota, Ogun State, according to a previous report on Tuesday.
Nonetheless, he asserted that an accused Internet fraudster had “for no reason” dispatched police to his bar to make arrests of him and his employees.
Oyeyemi claims that Portable was invited as a result of a petition from a teenage studio owner who claimed that Portable and his associates assaulted him until he was unconscious and closed his studio.
He continued by saying that the singer ignored all of the summonses that were delivered to him.
