Nigerian gospel artist Yinka Ayefele recently commemorated his 25th anniversary of surviving an auto tragedy.
On his Instagram feed, the 54-year-old uploaded old pictures of his severely damaged Volkswagen Beetle from the collision that rendered him wheelchair-bound.

He expressed his gratitude to God and encouraged fans to do the same on his behalf

He wrote: “It’s exactly 25 years ago today. Just keep thanking God on my behalf…It was on December 12th, 1997.
“My Turing point…I shall forever be grateful to the owner of my destiny.”
At the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Ibadan, where he also created jingles and musical compositions for radio, Ayefele temporarily worked as a journalist and broadcaster.
After being injured in a car accident that left him wheelchair-dependent and with a damaged spinal cord, he started his music career in 1997.
