Jaden Smith discloses his mother Jada Pink introduced Psychedelic drugs to the family.

Hollywood actor Jaden Smith has admitted that his mother, actress Jada Pinkett Smith, exposed the Smith family as a whole to psychedelics.

Psychedelic substances, often known as hallucinogens, affect perception, emotion, and cognitive function, according to the Alcohol and substances Foundation of the United States. Psychedelics alter a person’s thoughts, sense of time, and emotions through affecting all of their senses.

These drugs can ”cause a person to hallucinate — seeing or hearing things that do not exist or are distorted,” the Alcohol and Drugs Foundation said.

Speaking at the Psychedelic Science conference in Denver, Colorado, last week, the 24-year-old Jaden Smith said, “I think it was my mom, actually, that was really the first one to make that step for the family.”

He continued saying; “It was just her for a really, really long time and then eventually it just trickled and evolved, and everybody found it in their own ways.”

Jaden also discussed his close bonds with his half-brother Trey, 30, and sister Willow, 22. He attributed these connections to psychedelics.

“Siblings can argue so much and fight so much, and lord knows me and my siblings have done so much of that in the past,” he said. “But the level of love and empathy that I can feel for them inside of the [psychedelic] experiences and outside of the experiences has been something that’s profound and beautiful.”

Also recall that in a Red Table Talk episode from November that she co-hosted with her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and daughter, Willow, 51-year-old Jada talked about her experiences with psychedelics.

Jada discussed her battle with depression and the role that psychedelics have had in her recovery.

“I struggled with depression for so long. And the thing about the plant medicine is it helps you feel better but also solves the problems of how you got there in the first place,” she said.

“You have to really wanna do it, this is not for play,” she said. “You have to be willing to confront some hard stuff. It is very healing and it has changed my life.”
