Four months after being married, man kills himself in Jigawa.

Usman Sani Goga, a 30-year-old male, killed himself in Jigawa State’s Babura Local Government Area.

The dead, a photojournalist who had reportedly been married for four months, hanged himself on Wednesday at the local government’s Akula Quarters.

The deceased had dropped his wife off at one of his relatives’ homes that fateful day about 1400 hours, vowing to pick her up later in the evening, according to CSC. Adamu Shehu, a spokeswoman for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in the state who confirmed the occurrence.

He added that an inquiry is ongoing to determine the cause of his death and that it is unknown what prompted him to act as he did.

The wife while narrating the incident said; “Around 1700hrs, I called his phone severally without response; I later decided to take a commercial vehicle.

“On reaching home, I realised that I was without keys and decided to call his phone again, yet there was no response.

“With the assistance of the motorcyclist, I got access to the house. I then saw my husband’s motorcycle parked which is very unusual.

“I hurried inside where I saw his body hanging from a ceiling fan hook in our bedroom”.
