Unidentified gunmen kill 3, injure 1 in Lagos.

Wednesday night, unknown gunmen attacked Gowon’s estate in the Alimosho neighborhood of Lagos State, killing three people and injuring a fourth.

Although the Police claimed to have started an investigation into the incident, their exact objective at 41 Road, Union Bank Block, remained unknown.
SP Benjamin Hudenyin, a spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, reported that the incident took place at around 11.35 p.m.

He clarified that the Gowon estate received a distress call regarding the invasion.

According to Hundeyin, two patrol teams were dispatched to the area as soon as the Gowon Estate Police received the distress call to help contain the situation.

He said: “While at the scene of shooting, the police recovered nine expended cartridges and a bunch of keys.”
He said the corpse of an unknown male was recovered at the Igando general Hospital and evacuated to the Mainland General Hospital, Yaba for preservation and autopsy.

According to him, “Further information to the police revealed that two male corpses were taken away by their families. One male survivor,Doba Ngoze, is currently on admission at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba.”
