EFCC officers raid Shettima’s voting location
Officers from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrived at Alhaji Kukawa, polling unit 023, Maiduguri, Borno State, which is the voting location for Kashim Shettima, the APC vice presidential candidate.
Recall that the anti-graft agency also barged into Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s voting location as the APC’s presidential candidate.
Similar to this, there were hints that anti-graft organizations like the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) may have conducted raids in Kaduna State to stop vote buying.
Senator Shehu Sani, a former Nigerian lawmaker and social critic, revealed this in a tweet.
Sani said the raid was successful, stating it was carried out on the eve of the presidential and National Assembly election.
“The anti-corruption agencies have successfully made some raids in Kaduna yester night in order to stop vote buying,” he stated in the tweet.
