The 2023 Federation Cup will start in May, according to the NFF

The 2023 Federation Cup will kick off in May, according to the Nigeria Football Federation.

This information was released by the NFF in a statement following its meeting on Monday night in Abuja.

The competition’s 2022 version ended without a winner being declared by the NFF.

The competition, according to the NFF, would start one week before the 2022–23 Nigeria Premier Football League season ends.

It also stated that Nigeria would send two teams to the 2024 CAF Confederation Cup: the competition’s winner and the third-placed NPFL club.
