Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain, Demola Seriki announced dead

The 63-year-old Nigerian ambassador to Spain, Demola Seriki, has passed away.

The former minister was claimed to have died on Thursday, December 15, “surrounded by his family,” according to a statement released by his children.

“It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to Almighty Allah that we announce the loss of our much loved and admired patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend,” the statement reads.

Seriki, an All Progressives Congress (APC) leader in Lagos State and a former minister of state for defense, was born on November 30, 1959.

He was simultaneously accredited as Nigeria’s permanent representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization while serving as Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain (UNWTO).
