Arsenal’s winger Bukayo Saka funds medical procedure for 120 kids in Nigeria
Bukayo Saka, an Arsenal winger, has funded “life-changing operations” for 120 kids in Kano state.
The charity organization Big shoe that teamed up with Saka to assist underprivileged children with medical operations announced the sponsorship in a tweet on Thursday.
The organization disclosed that the children underwent their opearations at Kano’s Prime Specialist Hospital.
Saka said he is always delighted to assist children who are struggling to realize their ambitions.
“For me, every child has the same opportunity to achieve their dreams and if I can really do anything to help, it’s really important for me to do this,” he said.
“It makes me very happy, especially when I see the kids are happy, the parents are happy. I just want to more and more as much as I can.”
The 19-year-old acknowledged that he felt a connection to Nigeria even though he choose to represent England rather than Nigeria.
He also thanked BigShoe for seeing to it that the project was realized.
