Protest Erupts In Barcelona Over Messi’s Impending Exit From Camp Nou

Fans of Barcelona FC have demanded the resignation of the club’s president over what they termed his inability to ensure that the club’s legend does not leave Camp Nou.

Consequently, fans gather near Camp Nou and the club’s offices to protest against the board and Lionel Messi’s exit.

Barca’s CEO Oscar Grau is leaving the club’s offices, the fans aren’t hesitating to show their frustration with the latest turn of events.

Some of the concerned people are shouting ‘Bartomeu, resign!

A candidate for the seat of FC Barcelona presidency next year, Victor Font has also urged the current president,  Josep Maria Bartomeu to resign.

In case the current president decides to stay, Font threatens to launch a motion of no confidence against the current board.

Among other things, Font wrote: “You [Bartomeu] haven’t even been able to guard the best in history, a homemade legend!”

Leo has informed Barcelona he wants to terminate his contract and leave for free immediately.

Rumour has it, he is furious with the president and doesn’t believe in his project.

As for the presidential elections, they have been rescheduled for March 2021 yet Bartomeu’s mandate won’t expire until July 2021.
