2Baba Promises More UN Efforts After Bagging Ambassadorial Job
Nigerian and African music star, Tuface Idibia, popularly called 2Baba, has promised to redouble efforts and commitment in supporting the efforts of United Nations High Commission For Refugees (UNHCR)’ personnel and volunteers towards providing for the millions of displaced persons globally.
The music icon posted on his social media page that it was gratifying being recognized by the global body.Recall that recently, the ‘Amaka’ singer was named the United Nations Refugees Goodwill Ambassador.The announcement was made by the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees via Instagram.
Confirming his acceptance of the appointment, 2Baba wrote: “I am honoured and humbled by my new appointment as a regional goodwill ambassador of UNHCR.“Thanks for the recognition, this will no doubt deepen my commitment to supporting the effort of UNHCR personnel and volunteers who are on the ground every day, working hard to pro-vide support and hope to millions of forcefully displaced persons across the world. Blessings one and all.”2Baba also confirmed his being up to the task of the appointment, promising to raise awareness for those forced to flee from their homes.
