Adekola, Adebayo Mourn As Another Nollywood Veteran Dies
Odunlade Adekola, one of the household names in the Yoruba genre of the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood), has expressed shock at the demise of Gholahan Adio Majester, one of the veterans of the Nigerian entertainment industry, especially Nollywood.
Speaking to our correspondent, the actor, who just graduated from the University of Lagos, said:
“We know that he has been sick but I never believed that he was going to die now because I was hoping he was recovering,” Adekola said.
Similarly, Femi Adebayo, another regular face in the Yoruba genre of the Nollywood, also expressed sadness on the demise of the veteran actor, describing it as a huge loss for the industry. “It is a big loss for all of us in the Nollywood because he was one actor so many people admire.
“His experience would have been highly valuable in the industry now but we cannot question God,” he said.

According to insiders, who described the state of the actor before his demise, the once plump, robust and chubby Majester was a shadow of himself before his death after suffering the terminal illness. He had been on intensive treatment before he dies.
