Nigerian President To Dissolve Cabinet May 22, Sneaks Into London For Medical Check
With his inauguration for a second term in office fixed for May 29, Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari, has set aside May 22 for the dissolution of his present cabinet
This was disclosed by Lai Mohammed, the Nigerian minister of information and culture after the weekly federal executive council meeting. He said that that day would mark the last federal executive council meeting for his first tenure.
Meanwhile, the president has traveled to London in what so many of his countrymen have labeled medical trip even though his aides have come out to deny it, saying that the president went for an undisclosed appointment.
It will be recalled that the president, months after his first term inauguration, spent months in a London hospital where he underwent series of treatments, leaving governance in the hands of his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo.
We gathered that the president might spend up to a week to attend to his health after he spent so much time campaigning all around the country and to also withstand preparations towards his second term inauguration.
