“APC will win all 26 State Assembly seats” – Oyebanji.

The governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji, bragged on Saturday that the election for the 26 seats in the Ekiti State House of Assembly would be won by the ruling All Progressive Party (APC).

He just expressed his displeasure with the low voter participation for the election at the time.

Soon after casting his ballot in Ward 6, Unit 3, Okelele at his rural residence of Ikogosi-Ekiti, in the Ekiti West Local Government Area of the State, Oyebanji made the observation.

The governor expressed his sadness that voter turnout was not as high as it had been in the state’s previous presidential election.

Yet he praised the National Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) for improving the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), saying it had significantly improved the electoral process.

“So far so good, I just cast my vote and using my Ward as an example on the improvement on INEC technology.

“I think we have to commend the Federal Government and more importantly, the INEC for the remarkable improvement on the technology deployed, as well as the entire exercise.

“The deployment of the new technology will no doubt help to improve on the exercise through management of time and energy,” he said.

With the use of technical innovation to assure legitimate elections, the process was determined to be credible.

Many voters at the numerous polling places that were visited throughout the town expressed their happiness at being able to exercise their right to vote and praised the orderly process.

2023: Naja’atu Sacked For Being Mole In My Team, She Didn’t Resign – Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has disclosed that Naja’atu Mohammed was sacked from her position as his campaign’s Director of Civil Society Organisations.

Tinubu explained that Mohammed was sacked for incompetence and for being a mole in his campaign team.
The APC flag bearer stressed that Mohammed lied to Nigerians that she resigned her appointment from his campaign team.

Speaking through his campaign Adviser on Public Affairs, Mahmud Jega, Tinubu said Mohammed was planted to leak sensitive information to the opposition.

A statement by Jega reads partly: “The Asiwaju/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council received with amusement the hasty “resignation” of Hajiya Naja’atu Mohammed from her position as Director of Civil Society Organisations just before she was sacked for incompetence, quarrelsomeness and after being uncovered to be a mole planted in our winning campaign in order to leak sensitive information to our desperate opponents.

“Although she deceived the gullible public by claiming that she resigned, her sack letter with ignominy from the campaign and the party had just arrived at her desk.”

Tinubu said Naja’atu’s desperation, fact-free, machination-filled and imaginary utterances after she was sacked showed that she was “unfit to serve in the first place until it was discovered that she was a mole.”

Mohammed had claimed to have resigned from her appointment due to Tinubu’s alleged ill health.

Over the weekend, Mohammed defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Mohammed said she dumped APC presidential campaign because she discovered that her values no longer aligned with the party..
