Twitter to start payment for the advertisements of verified creators.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, stated that the company will soon start paying verified content creators for the advertisements they include into their replies, with the first payment block being around $5 million.

The post from billionaire Musk, who bought Twitter last October, stated: “Note, the creator must be verified and only ads served to verified users count.”

Since Elon Musk bought Twitter, the social media platform has struggled to retain advertisers since they are reluctant to run their advertising after the business let go of thousands of employees.

The move is being made as Linda Yaccarino, who will shortly take over as CEO of Twitter and has experience in NBCUniversal advertising, gets ready to manage the social media network.

In March, Musk asserted that the messaging service generates 5 to 6 cents per hour of user attention and might generate up to 15 cents with more relevant and timely advertisements.
