EPL: Four Man Utd games might be added to Casemiro’s suspension.
Casemiro, a midfielder for Manchester United, was given a straight red card against Crystal Palace on Saturday and will now face a three-game suspension.
After a fight, Casemiro seemed to choke Will Hughes, according to a VAR review, and was consequently dismissed.
There is a risk that the FA will raise it to four games if United appeals and loses.
According to the Premier League rule, “a straight red card can be reversed if an appeal is filed.
“In the event of a successful appeal, the suspension will be cancelled. But if the FA rules a club has lodged a ‘frivolous’ appeal, a three-game ban can be increased to four.”
According to the current situation, Casemiro will miss two league games against Leeds United and one at home against Leicester City.
The Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United, though, will see him return.
