Boko Haram Razes Down Only Telecom Mast, Hospital In Troubled Borno Community

Members of the Boko Haram terrorist group have burnt down a hospital recently refurbished by the Borno State Government in the troubled North East of Nigeria in a renewed attack on Monday.

In the attack on Monday, which also claimed the only functional telecommunication mast in Magumeri town, Borno, one person was killed when the Insurgents engaged the military in a few n duels.

According to Sahara reporters, residents of Magumeri fled their homes following the invasion of the town by the heavily-armed Boko Haram terrorists.
It was gathered that the insurgents razed down that only functional telecommunications mast, the hospital recently equipped by the Borno State Government, and other facilities in the town.

One of the fleeing residents said the insurgents invaded the community at about 4 pm on Monday while the military airstrike engaged them, but to no avail.

It was learned that a woman died during the exchange of gunfire between the insurgents and the military, while others were seriously injured.

Magumeri is about a 40km drive from Maiduguri, the state capital, which has witnessed a series of Boko Haram attacks.
